LES VEILLEUSES FEAT. MARIE HENDRIKS

After Brussels and Geneva, DROME returned to Rome for the event that celebrated the final stop of the Childhood issue tour: on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in the striking spaces of the Pastificio Cerere Foundation, the crew of DROME in full force introduced dromers to the dreamy universe of Marie Hendriks. The artist – featuring in DROME 18 with an article by Barbara Polla and Patrice Maniglier -, has accompanied the issue whole tour around Europe.

The young Dutch artist, based in Belgium, presented LES VEILLEUSES, a site specific installation, including videos, sculptures, drawings and photos, curated by the DROME directors, Rosanna Gangemi and Stefan Pollak, and under the patronage of the Netherlands Embassy. The solo show, that has lasted for one day, has also featured a special opening – and closing… – party, with the dj set by the Roman duo Les Courgettes and the vj set by Guerrero, B_Muvis Videoklan co founder.
