ALMA DROMESTICA A PSYCHOGEOGRAPHICAL EXPERIENCE

From the encounter between DROME and the network OSI and Luoghisingolari was born the avant-garde experience ALMA DROMESTICA: an artistic and psychogeographical path create with the aim to connect the public and the domestic space through free and guided exploration. The success of the initiative was so important that ALMADROMESTICA continues to be cited at conferences on architecture and relational art, as it appears in the bibliography of essays and novels.

In 7 private homes, spread over the whole territory of Pigneto (Rome) and open to the public for one day in July 2006, there have been 7 thematic artistic events curated by as many curators. In each apartment has been creatively interpreted one of the first 7 issues faced by DROME in its search path since then – TRASFORMATION, NOMADISM, FAITH, MADNESS, GAME, FOOD and BODY -, through the many languages of art (site-specific projects, performances, readings exhibitions of works, video projections, installations, …). A map to guide the footsteps of those, many, who had no idea where and what was the Pigneto district. A group of guides to help visitors to get lost. A sea of people hungry for art, adventure, sharing and discovery.
